Best food in Winnipeg. Eat anything there. My favorite are the soups and the vermicelli. Best is the Deluxe Vermicelli. The usual day server a male is very prompt and a nice guy. great service. It can get very busy at lunch so go early! 5 stars all the way!

Just had dinner here and it was better than everyone raves about! Delicious!

I expected more of the place. Went for the first time today and can't complain about my dish, but all other dishes on the table had either no spices or were completely tasteless. I had pho which tasted exactly like every other pho I've tried but the portions were slightly smaller. The place itself is clean and service was very nice and friendly as well. But if you want to eat anything other than fried rice and pho, I dont recommend it.

We had the special pho (soupe) with rare beef, beefballs and tripe and the grilled chicken bun (rice noodle bowl) as well as the fresh salad roles as an appetizer. The place looked clean and the walls looked freshly painted or just very clean. The service was a little slow, we were there after the lunch rush. The bun was fresh and tasty the pho was missing some flavor. The taste got better at the end of the soupe, maybe the spice mixture was sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. However compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the city I was missing the deep flavor of the pho. The salad roles had a good amount of pork in them, but very little shrimp.

I go here often and bring as many people as I can. The pho is excellent, and the chicken curry is the best I've ever had. The prices are great and the staff is awesome. I love this place!

Have been enjoying Viva for over a few years. The service, food, and atmosphere is always great. We always leave feeling like we got a great deal, since 2 people can easily stuff themselves on $35 all in.

Went there with my friend. For me the service was bit slow , the restaurant got busy later. Talking about food. Wow fantastic. I ordered chicken Chow Mein and fried rice. Really great food. Will definitely visit again

We like this restaurant. We are going to this place for almost 4 years. The quality of food is great. I usually order shrimp with vegetables, the portion is big and the price is very reasonable. I like the fact that you can find good healthy food in this restaurant. In addition, the service and the staff are really nice and polite.

I think this is my #1 place to get Vietnamese food in the city. Restaurant is always clean and the food is to die for.

We've been going to this restaurant for 20 years. It's family owned and run and serves authentic vietnamese food. Viva has the best hot and sour soup we've had and try their BBQ beef (or other meat) pancakes. They are actually a thin rice wrap that fill with the meat and fresh vegetables thin sliced carrots, bean sprouts, cucumbers and lettuce. We also enjoy the vietnamese iced coffee, be sure to order it early as it takes time to filter through. All in all, this restaurant never disappoints and is reasonably priced.

I visited with a group of co-workers and I think we all really enjoyed our meals. I had the sizzling chicken curry (#126) and it was incredibly delicious, definitely worth a try. I also liked how the guy who was taking our payments was proactive and flexible and offered (we didn't have to ask!) to split the cost of our shared appetizers for us as we were each paying individually. I wish more restaurants were helpful that way! Definitely a great place to try if you're in Winnipeg!

It was good, the bathroom was clean. They have free wifi. The menu has a variety of mixed drinks. It's a bit easy to walk/drive by the place, you need to go into the building to find the door.

Atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant looks well appointed.Service was ok. Not exceptionally talkative.One of the nice things is they * off their most popular items so if you are new to coming here you have a good idea of what is generally considered good. I went for the pho (deluxe beef). Pricing at $10.50 is good. Flavors were good.They sell banh mi sandwiches for $4.50 which is a much better deal than going to Earls.

First time experience was not good

Very good Vermicelli Bowls and decent soups but Chow Mein isn't worth it, mainly due to small portion size. Restaurant smells good and has decent amount of traffic, especially considering its location. Worth trying, but Vi-Ann is still tops for Chow Mein.

One of my favourite places for lunch. Service is always nice and fast, even when it's busy. They have the best spring rolls l. The rare beef pho, and the pork rice wraps you put together yourself are also favourites. The fresh mint and basil really make it special. Perfect if you love to share. The mushroom coffee is cool too.

We split an order of the salad rolls and we each had the beef pho. Salad rolls with the peanut sauce were very good. The beef pho was great. I had the spicy satay and my spouse had beef with flank steak. Lots of bean sprouts, mint leaves and jalapeños so you could make it as spicy as you want. The soup broth was flavourful with lots of noodles and beef. Great food on a cold night in Winterpeg.

I have been going to Viva’s restaurant for years. I absolutely love it. It’s consistently good. My favorite is the deluxe wonton soup. The broth they use in absolutely incredible. Vermicelli bowls are great too as are the rice wraps and spring rolls. You can also order Chinese-food type options that tend to be much higher quality that many other Chinese-food options in the city (i.e., meat is better quality, dishes are less greasy, sauces are more flavourful). The restaurant is family run and the staff are great. There are a number of photos on the wall that family members have taken and framed from their travels around the world. And, to tie it all together, the food is very reasonably priced which keep people coming back over and over again!

Best Vietnamese/ Chinese food in town. Always fresh, great menu and great staff. Sometimes service can be slow when extremely busy which is often but still worth the quality food. Vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, rice rolls, lemon chicken, Korean bbq beef, beef and broccoli, spicy sizzling beef, and black bean sauce are all fantastic! Great fresh food!

Wow. This place was great. The amount of food for the price. It was amazing. Will be going back here again. But the service is not the swiftest. Still was so great.
